International Artists in Residence Program

Five International Artists in Residence have enjoyed the hospitality of "Art Point - Gumno" since 2004 and have used the accommodation and space to foster their creativity in the inspirational surroundings.

The selection of the invited artists is a result of intensive cooperation and discussion with similar institutions and associations from the world. During two to four weeks residential stay in the village of Sloeshtica, the artists have opportunity to create inspired by the beauties of the region and getting into friendly contacts with the local people. Visits to important cultural and historic monuments in the broader region are part of the hosting program (Bitola - Heraklea, Krushevo, Ohrid, Prespa region, Monasteries: Slepce, Toplicki etc).

In return for their stay in Sloeshtica, the artists are expected to leave at least one piece of work behind and/or to provide some specific benefit for strengthening the capacities of the local community (small lecture, workshop, performance, etc).
